3. Citizen Comments
Bill Bockman @ W278N2619 Rocky Point Rd. – Mr. Bockman stated that if the Committee were looking to ban certain watercraft then all types of watercraft would need to be looked at. In terms of invasive species, Mr. Bockman believes more invasive species come over on fishing boats than wake boats. He does not believe wake boats are an issue on Pewaukee Lake.

Joe Woelfle @ N20W30060 Glen Cove Rd – Mr. Woelfle stated that any boat could make a wake, not just wake boats. He does not believe there should be any changes regarding wake boats on Pewaukee Lake.

4. Discussion and possible action on sub-committee recommendations specifically regarding wake enhanced boats on Pewaukee Lake
Trustee Grabowski gave an overview of the past discussions regarding this topic. Grabowski and Twelmeyer stated that education and awareness will be the main focus of this topic instead of banning specific boats and creating Ordinances. The west end of the lake would be the best area for operation since it is deeper in depth. A map was shared showing lake depth and recommended operating areas. The map will be shared on websites, boat launches, and at boater safety classes.
Supervisor Mahoney-Ogden moved, seconded by Alderman Reinbold approve the recommendations from the subcommittee specifically regarding wake enhanced boats in accordance with the drawings presented and using the mode of communication as education.
Motion carried 3-0.

5. Discussion and recommendation regarding the replacement and purchase of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
Twelmeyer explained that Liz Unruh of Positively Pewaukee provided a statement that they would like to donate or provide funds to purchase a new AED for Lake Patrol.
Trustee Grabowski moved, seconded by Supervisor Mahoney-Ogden to approve the purchase of 100% for funding of an AED if the funds are not provided by Positively Pewaukee.
Motion carried 3-0.

6. Discussion and Staff Direction regarding potential future Ordinances pertaining to increased ice safety
Grabowski explained this topic is on the agenda due to a recent tragedy on the lake that resulted in a death.
Ideas shared:
- Education resources
- “Winter kits” at the lift stations around the lake
- Flotation suits for Lake Patrol in case of a rescue
- Having access to throwable flotation devices
- Possible sponsorships for the flotation devices
Alderman Reinbold would like to get pricing on the throwables.
No action taken.
